Automated Inspection Capabilities
Trace Automation applies leading edge intelligent sensors and vision systems that gauge, guide, inspect, count and identify products and the most challenging manufacturing environments in a variety of industries
Our proven technology, application expertise, and implementation strategies, mean clients can rely on us to deliver solutions that perform every time – even under the most difficult factory floor conditions. Our custom designed solutions typically utilize leading commercial off the shelf technologies compiled in a way that creates unique inspection solutions for each customer. From simple, low speed applications, to complex, high speed, high resolution applications involving motion control and robotics, our solutions improve yield and help prevent defective product from reaching your customer.
Inspection systems can be designed for the following applications
Flaw Detection
- Detection of small non–conforming changes in parts such as cracks, short shots, discoloration, foreign objects or printing errors
Positioning
- Quickly recognize complex patterns, part location, or position and translate coordinates to pick and place robots
Measurement
- Precisely gauge distances, angles, find radius and fit lines or use complex math functions to ensure parts are within tolerances
Counting
- Quickly and accurately locate and count parts in extremely fast production lines
Identification
- Verify or reads high speed linear or 2D barcodes as well as human and machine readable text
Our Approach to Inspection Systems
Our application engineering team employs a time-proven project management methodology to ensure that solutions are delivered on time and within budget. To maximize flexibility and minimize risk, we manage projects in four phases:
- Plan
- Design
- Build
- Deploy
